OUR PURPOSE - In today's fast paced life, as families relocate and make new homes throughout the world, family ties get stretched and sometimes broken. We are here to help you, and all who will follow both you and I, gather up the loose ends of those dangling family ties and make them into a new strong knot of love and acceptance. Via the technology of the Internet we are now able to do that.
"We can chart our future clearly and wisely only when we know the path which has led to the present."..... Adlai E. Stevenson
The Robert Fleming, Felix Stambach and Connected Families Association Website will enable our family members from everywhere in the world to learn more about where their ancestors came from, the kind of people they were, and what kinds of lives they lived. It is hoped, and our goal, that each and every visitor will leave this website with a greater understanding about the importance of knowing their family's history and a desire to help in this effort.
"Strangely enough, this is the past that someone in the future longs to go back to."-- Anonymous
With that belief in mind, this Web Site has been created by and for descendants of and families connected to, Robert Fleming and Felix Stambach. In today's fast paced life, as families relocate and make new homes throughout the world, family ties get stretched and sometimes broken. We are here to help you, and all who will follow both you and I, gather up the loose ends of those dangling family ties and make them into a new strong knot of love and acceptance.
WHEN - We now have YOUR PLACE TO SHARE ready and waiting for you!
This part of the website gives those who are interested the capability to get involved with the growth of knowledge about where we came from and where we're headed. Each family member can choose how much they wish to be involved this growth. It takes us all to make it the best it can be! All first time visitors will be able to look around, look at the names of the pages, see where they would like to contribute, then send an e-mail to administration and tell us what part of the website caught your interest and where you want to help out. You will then be issued clearance for helping that section grow. If you don't see a category you would be interested in, but would like to see, send that suggestion to us along with your request for clearance to add to the various pages. Once you have the clearance, you can do add things directly from your computer. If you don't own a computer you can still contribute from any computer you have access to as long as it is connected to the internet and you have been issued a USER NAME & PASSWORD. We each need to help keep this part of our website closely monitored. Any information submitted that is not suitable for our very youngest readers will be deleted and the submitter warned. If the warning is ignored, the submitter will then be blocked from the website.WHO - It's through family members caring about the goal of this effort and being generous enough to share information, photo's, stories, recipes, documents, history, news, births, deaths, ancestor charts, and genealogy, etc. that each visitor will leave with a greater understanding about the importance of knowing their family's history, where they came from, the kind of people they were, and what kinds of lives they lived .
You and what you have to contribute is invaluable. As this website continues flourish, each family tree's limbs, branches, twigs, leaves, and buds will reach further out into the future and it's roots will continue to extend deeper into the past. This continuing growth will make it easier for those who come searching for their heritage or a way to reconnect with scattered family members.
HOW - We have included the following motto which has been donated by Ron Black a descendant of Frederick Nelson "Fighting Fred" Fleming which will make each of you think.
" I am not the owner of the treasures I have been given but am just the caretaker, bound to pass on everything I know or have about family to all who should ask.
What I mean by this is that what I know or have concerning family history has been passed down to me in some way. And because I can not own the rich history of our ancestors I am bound to keep it safe and to share it with future generations."
STANDARDS for USAGE - it takes us all gathering and sharing to keep us growing
this family and.
many family members have sent in information, photos, etc. to have us post for them.
There are a few who have asked for User Names posting things themselves, but all
genealogy information has to come through our
administration to be added to the Master
Genealogy File and then processed by the program which creates the genealogy
part of this website you all love so much.
Should you decide you'd like to use any of the information found on this website on your

We are all very different yet very much the same! It's through this sharing of our family history, that each will leave footprints in the sands of time for all who are to follow us all and ancestors we may have never know will reach across time to touch as long as we never forget those who came before.
From How Green Was My Valley by Richard Lewellyn"
I saw behind me those who had gone, and before me, those who are to come. I looked back and saw my father, and his father, and all our fathers, and in front, to see my son, and his son, and the sons upon sons beyond.
And their eyes were my eyes.
As I felt, so they had felt, and were to feel, as then, so now, as to-morrow and forever. Then I was not afraid, for I was in a long line that had no beginning, and no end, and the hand of his father grasped my father's hand, and his hand was in mine, and my unborn son took my right hand, and all, up and down the line that stretched from Time That Was, to Time That Is, and is not yet, raised their hands to show the link, and we found that we were one, born of Woman, Son of Man, had in the Image, fashioned in the Womb by the Will of God, the Eternal Father.
I was of them, they were of me, and in me, and I in all of them."
If family is important to you, these are your beliefs and you think that this might be something you are looking for, open the door, come on in and stay awhile longer keeping in mind what Gandhi has taught us.....
"It's the action, not the fruit of the action, that's important. You have to do the right thing. It may not be in your power, may not be in your time, that there'll be any fruit. But that doesn't mean you stop doing the right thing. You may never know what results come from your action. But if you do nothing, there will be no result."
WE EXPECT THE HIGHEST STANDARDS FROM OUR FAMILY !
